We are seeking a Specialist Learning Support Teacher for our Perth Campus to commence in Term 1, 2026 on a full time, permanent contract – a new role in our growing, high-performing team at OSG Perth Campus.
The Campus

Boasting both Primary and Secondary areas, complete with separate lush playing fields and equipment, our campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and first-rate technology to support both online and face-to-face learning for both our primary and secondary students. Embracing an intimate school vibe, we provide individualised attention to our 161 students spanning from Year 3 to Year 12.

About You
To be considered for this position, you must be a VIT-registered teacher with a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and Syllabus, and be willing to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies.
You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom teaching practices, to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies including video conferencing and online resources.
Essential Experience:
- Expertise in neurodiversity: Demonstrated experience in supporting students with Down Syndrome and broader neurodiverse needs.
- Individualised education planning: Proven ability to develop and implement personalised learning programs, with strong skills in differentiation and adjustment documentation (aligned to NCCD).
- Collaboration: Capacity to work closely with classroom teachers, families, allied health professionals, and support staff to create a consistent approach.
- Behaviour and engagement strategies: Familiarity with trauma-informed practice, PBS (Positive Behaviour Support), and approaches like "Kids Do Well If They Can" (Ross Greene).
- Communication supports: Understanding of AAC, visuals, and strategies for supporting expressive/receptive language.
- Leadership within support: Ability to mentor, coordinate, and upskill colleagues in inclusive practice.
- Personal care and dignity: Ability to provide respectful support with toileting and hygiene needs, following student care plans, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the student's dignity at all times.
