We are looking for a prospective Qualified Chef to join our wonderful Mount Macedon Hotel team

There is a position available for a Qualified Chef, and would include the following:

Approximately 24-38 hours of weekly work.

Consistent flexibility of working hours.

Help in the preparation and design of food menus.

Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise.

Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.

Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.

Assist to train kitchen staff and assess staff's performance.

Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Foster a positive work culture within the existing kitchen team.

Supervision of the maintenance of a quality standard for outgoing meals, with the ability to identify problems and easily communicate issues with senior staff.

Prerequisites to this role include:

Qualifications in Commercial Cookery with minimum 2 years' experience.

Willingness to work weekday and weekend shifts, alongside night shifts.

Consistent access to transportation as we are a rural establishment.

Understanding of various cooking methods, equipment and local seasonal ingredients.

Being punctual, reliable and receptive to feedback.

A high understanding of Kitchen Health and Safety requirements.

A passion for delivering consistently high quality food to a thriving local community.
