About the role:
The Mater Mothers, Women's and Pelvic Health (MWPH) Physiotherapy team is seeking a passionate and skilled Casual Physiotherapist to join our dynamic service at Mater Mothers' Hospitals in South Brisbane.
This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to deliver specialised, patient-centred care across antenatal, postnatal, and pelvic health settings. Join a dynamic team supporting thousands of mothers annually, with the flexibility to contribute to weekend and evening group education classes as required.
Salary range: $39.86 to $58.59 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits
What you'll be doing
You will primarily work on the inpatient wards, independently managing a varied caseload of women with obstetric and pelvic health needs. You will deliver evidence-based clinical care and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and patient-centred outcomes.
There will also be opportunities to engage in in-house professional development, contribute to service improvement initiatives, supervise students, and assist with the delivery of postnatal outpatient services where required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
- Experience in obstetric inpatient care
- Experience or a strong interest in pelvic health physiotherapy
- Postgraduate training in Obstetrics, Women's or Pelvic Health (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in a roster that includes weekend work and evening classes
- A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for contributing to service development and continuous quality improvement
