Position InformationFrancis Greenway High School is an inclusive comprehensive secondary school with a Support Unit of 10 classes. The school also pays for an extra class to support transition. The current enrolment is 770 students. 6% of students have a background where English is an additional language or dialect (EAL/D) and 21% identify as having an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.
The school is proud to have an Aboriginal Elder as a member of staff. The school works in collaboration with the Maitland AECG. The Junior AECG play a pivotal role in Turning Policy into Action as part of their authentic student voice. They also provide direction of the partnering with community, business and industry to create education and employment opportunities for young Aboriginal people.

Proven ability to establish genuine partnerships with the AECG and deliver transformative programs and initiatives, through high level educational leadership to engage Aboriginal students, families and the community that will lead to improved student outcomes.
High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P4 for 2025 and Principal Level P4 for 2026.
