Gem Kids Academy helps primary students build strong foundations in Maths, English and Thinking Skills. We run small, engaging classes with structured programs aligned to the NSW syllabus and selective/OC preparation.

We're looking for a high-achieving, motivated Primary Tutor to deliver small-group lessons (typically 4–8 students) for Years K–10. This role is ideal for top university students, qualified teachers, or experienced tutors with excellent academic results.

What You'll Do

  • Teach high-quality lessons in Maths and/or English
  • Follow our structured lesson plans/workbooks, while adding engaging examples
  • Monitor student progress and give feedback to parents
  • Mark classwork/homework and keep simple records
  • Prepare students for NAPLAN, OC and Selective exams (training provided)
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment

You Have

  • ATAR 90+ (or equivalent academic achievement) – required
  • Strong understanding of NSW curriculum
  • Clear communication skills and ability to connect with children
  • Reliability, professionalism, and strong classroom management
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) – valid for paid work (or willingness to obtain)
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Bonus: experience with OC/Selective preparation, EAL/D learners, or special needs support

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
