Then we might the perfect position for you We are looking for a new team member to join our Pools Team in a full-time permanent role.

In a Nutshell……

In this role you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all aquatic systems including pools, plantrooms, waterslides and spraygrounds as a part of a larger full time maintenance team.

The right person for this role will be required to maintain a high standard of work and compliance relating to preventative and reactive maintenance, water treatment and aquatic system operation.

You will ideally have a Group 1 Aquatic Technical Operator qualification or be willing to work towards one

Being a seasonal business, your roster will vary to match this, in general the days will be:

• During season being September – April you will work a 4-day rotating roster ie 4 days on/off
• Outside of season peak we can offer 4 days on 3 days off or 5 days on 2 days off

What will you be doing?

In-Season

• Perform pre-service, daily, weekly, monthly inspections & maintenance of all aquatic attractions and systems including pools, waterslides and play structures
• Ensure water bodies are chemically balanced and tested in according to WA Department of Health Code of Practice
• Perform unscheduled maintenance and repairs within your scope including but not limited fibreglass/gelcoat, join caulking, pump troubleshooting and basic plumbing and fitting
• Oversee a team of pool cleaners
• Maintain accurate inspection records
• Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules

Off-season

• Perform annual inspections and preventative maintenance of all aquatic attractions and systems including pools, waterslides and play structures
• Perform a variety of tasks in relation to the maintenance and upkeep of aquatic systems including but not limited to pool surface refurbishment, high pressure cleaning, painting & corrosion treatment,  pump & filter maintenance, minor waterslide repairs such as fibreglass/gelcoat touchups and join caulking

Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role advantageous
• Good practical knowledge of pool water chemistry requirements, water testing, filtration and dosing systems
• Good practical knowledge of hands-on maintenance using a variety of hand and power tools
• Group 1 Aquatic Technical Operator  qualification – current or willing to complete training
• Must be available to work rotational shifts when required to support the seasonal nature of the business

General:

• Must be physically fit and able to walk several kilometres daily including multiple waterslides flumes (including in a crouched position) and up multiple flights of stairs
• Able to frequently lift and carry 20+ kilograms (bags of pool chemical)
• Show a willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for lengthy periods
• Have the ability to perform manual handling; bend stretch and twist freely

Desirable, but not essential:

• Chlorine Gas Training
• Confined Space Entry
• Working at heights
• Forklift Licence
• C Class Drivers Licence
• Experience in theme parks or the technical side of aquatic centres
