We are looking for a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join us at Small Friends Oak Park

We are a homely early learning space that has been part of the Glenroy & Oak Park Community for over 25 years. Our environments provide numerous learning opportunities for the children to explore.

We want our Kinder Teacher to be "Kind", and "Happy"

"To read us stories", and "Come on a bear hunt with us"

We want them to "Give cuddles" and "Give us lunch"

They also have to "Play cricket with us" and "Help us dig holes"

We are looking for a passionate Kindergarten Teacher (Early Childhood Teacher) to join us at Oak Park.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
  • VIT registered (provisional or full)
  • Regulatory approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Child Protection training
  • Red Nose and Food safety training (willingness to obtain)
  • Employee Working With Children's Check

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills,
  • Flexibility to work within the operational hours of an education and care service
  • Highly developed Professional Standards
  • Understanding of the Early Years Learning and Development Framework
  • Understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Passionate in achieving the high quality outcomes for children, families
  • Experience with transition to school statements
  • A strong focus on community
  • Understanding of the Child Safe Standards
