Overview

We are currently recruiting a Rolling Stock Maintenance Specialist to support the maintenance of passenger rail fleet. You will be responsible for providing technical support to continually improve the reliability of the fleet, including fault-finding, troubleshooting and general routine maintenance. Electrical RS specialists are preferred, requiring an Electrical Trade Qualification.

Location Sydney, NSW

Duration month contract

Hours Rotating Roster – Morning, Afternoon and Night Shift

Rate Competitive Rate with Penalties

Responsibilities

  • Daily review of train fleet performance
  • Conduct routine inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting (mechanical or electrical)
  • Defect rectification
  • Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with standards and work instructions
  • Manage failure investigations and customer feedback of findings
  • Develop, review and improve technical maintenance plans and other supporting documentation
  • Perform RCA of defects following release to service
  • Raise equipment non-conformance reports and provide assessments

Required Experience

  • Trade Background – Electrical or Mechanical Qualification
  • 3+ years of locomotive or passenger rolling stock maintenance experience on site
  • RIW Card
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Corrective Maintenance, Root Cause analysis
  • Experience with fault-diagnostic tools
