Plascorp is one of Australia's leading privately-owned Manufacturing and Distribution companies specialising in Industrial Ducting, Mine Ventilation, PVC Pipe and Steel re-enforcing solutions.

Role Overview:

The Manufacturing & Engineering Manager will oversee daily operations in our factory. This role requires a leader with a strong background in team development. You will play a key role in managing manufacturing and assert reliability.

You will be responsible for driving production efficiency, delivering continuous improvement initiatives, managing engineering projects, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement. while ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are achieved.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Lead functional managers and maintenance team to achieve production goals in our North Altona Factory.
  • Drive productivity improvements by identifying inefficiencies and applying lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure the traceability of production and the accuracy of inventory.
  • Manage and track the operational budget, including labour, materials, maintenance, and capital expenses.
  • Implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or safety.
  • Support capital planning efforts, including business case development for equipment upgrades or expansions.

Skill & Qualifications required:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering or manufacturing Related field is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management,
  • Prefer experience in Plastic and industrial products
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and operational metrics
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
