Our National Support Centre is located in the heart of the city on King William Street, Adelaide CBD, South Australia where our enthusiastic team focuses on the recruitment of new franchise partners and support of existing franchise partners, as well as working with new and existing clients.

The Position
We're looking for an ambitious and focused junior Web Developer to join our fun and fast-paced, growing team. We believe in innovation at The Local Guys and are looking for someone with the ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects and with a mindset for growth to contribute to our franchise's success. In this role, you'll work closely with our Marketing and IT Manager to deliver exciting new projects, as well as provide ongoing IT support to our Franchise Partner network.
No two days are the same, and the right person will be quick on their feet, have a bubbly personality, and be an avid problem solver.
The role is Full Time 9:00am - 5:00pm (Monday-Friday), centrally located in a brand new office building in the heart of King William Street. Equipped with a gym in the building, and right by multiple public transport access points on our doorstep.
Responsibilities includes:
- Design, develop, and manage WordPress websites across all divisions.
- Apply responsive design principles to ensure an optimal user experience across all devices.
- Enhance website performance by optimising page load speed and SEO.
- Work with marketing, franchising and management teams to design and implement new marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Diagnose and resolve website issues and bugs promptly.
- Keep up with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in web design and development.
- Provide basic technical support and training to internal and Franchise Partners as needed (via GoogleMeet and in person).
The ideal candidate for us will possess:
- A "can-do" attitude and approach to learning
- Strong understanding of WordPress
- Knowledge of front-end development languages
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, and SEO plugins
- Proficient with website performance optimisation, including; caching, minification and image optimisation.
- Expertise in designing and developing websites that work seamlessly across a variety of devices, ensuring a consistent, responsive user experience.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
