About The Role**
Grampians Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join the organisation as Director Service Improvement. In this senior leadership role, you will:

  • Lead service improvement, clinical planning, and models of service delivery across Grampians Health.
  • Drive innovation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion co-design with consumers and ensure services evolve to meet emerging health needs.
  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with our vision and values.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Service Improvement team to deliver enhanced clinical outcomes.
  • Apply proven improvement methodologies to drive change and innovation.
  • Collaborate with executive and clinical leaders to ensure seamless, integrated care.
  • Oversee operational budgets and ensure sustainability of services.
  • Act as an escalation point for high-level clinical and operational planning and improvement challenges.
  • Promote values-based leadership and a consumer-centered approach.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience in healthcare management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in health services management, business analysis, service planning, improvement science, clinical redesign and/or research (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex strategic projects and change programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A commitment to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
