The Club at Parkwood:

The Club at Parkwood is situated on the Gold Coast and is not a traditional golf course facility, it is a facility that continues to grow. The site comprises of an 18hole golf course, Practice Hole, NRL Titans training facilites, 18-hole putt putt, golf simulators, wedding venue, gaming, restaurants and entertainment areas, a sports and medical precinct and is extensively landscaped throughout. The golf course itself is surrounded by residential housing and is home to a multitude of native flora and fauna. The site has approval for a state-of-the-art Endless Surf Wave Lagoon development which will also involve ongoing improvements and rebuilds to the golf course.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a motivated person to fill the position of grounds person. The position involves working with an experienced team and assisting with daily golf course set up and maintenance activities associated with the upkeep of the golf course and associated turf areas. The role is hands on and involves operating an array of machinery, various labour tasks and other duties associated with maintaining the golf course, football field and landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have a willingness to learn and possess a positive can-do attitude.

Job Requirements

  • Current QLD driver's license.
  • Must hold an open/full Queensland driver's licence.
  • Physically active and be able to carry out manual tasks.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Enjoy early starts and working outdoors.
  • Mower operation experience (preferred but not essential).
  • A basic understanding of golf.
  • Must demonstrate any level of golf awareness and understanding.
  • Have an eye for detail.
  • Willing to participate in training if required.
