A Cafe Supervisor at Kloud99 plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vibrant and welcoming cafe. This role combines managerial skills with a strong passion for coffee and customer service, helping maintain our reputation as a top destination for coffee lovers. The supervisor will oversee daily operations, manage the team, and ensure that customers receive a top-tier experience in a relaxed, yet professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:

  2. Supervise and lead cafe staff, including baristas, kitchen staff, and waitstaff.

  3. Ensure that staff are trained in customer service, food handling, and safety procedures.
  4. Provide motivation and support to ensure high performance and morale.

  5. Customer Service:

  6. Ensure excellent customer service at all times.

  7. Handle customer complaints or concerns and resolve them in a timely manner.
  8. Monitor service quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

  9. Operational Management:

  10. Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.

  11. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  12. Monitor cleanliness and organization of the cafe, ensuring all areas are well-kept and hygienic.
  13. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  14. Financial Management:

  15. Assist with managing cash registers and daily transactions.

  16. Help track daily sales and prepare reports for the management.

  17. Staff Scheduling:

  18. Create staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for peak hours.

  19. Monitor staff attendance and resolve any staffing issues.

  20. Quality Control:

  21. Ensure that all food and beverages meet the cafe's quality standards.

  22. Conduct regular checks on product quality and presentation.

  23. Marketing and Promotions:

  24. Assist in creating promotional campaigns and events to attract customers.

  25. Support local marketing efforts and social media presence to increase brand visibility.

  26. Collaboration:

  27. Work closely with the cafe manager and other departments (e.g., kitchen) to ensure smooth operations.

  28. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a barista with in-depth knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing methods.
  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory or leadership role in a food service setting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic financial and budgeting knowledge.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle busy shifts.
  • A passion for coffee and food service is a must
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Barista or culinary training.
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
