Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead cafe staff, including baristas, kitchen staff, and waitstaff.
- Ensure that staff are trained in customer service, food handling, and safety procedures.
- Provide motivation and support to ensure high performance and morale.
Customer Service:
Ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Monitor service quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of the cafe, ensuring all areas are well-kept and hygienic.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Financial Management:
Assist with managing cash registers and daily transactions.
- Help track daily sales and prepare reports for the management.
Staff Scheduling:
Create staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for peak hours.
- Monitor staff attendance and resolve any staffing issues.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all food and beverages meet the cafe's quality standards.
- Conduct regular checks on product quality and presentation.
Marketing and Promotions:
Assist in creating promotional campaigns and events to attract customers.
- Support local marketing efforts and social media presence to increase brand visibility.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the cafe manager and other departments (e.g., kitchen) to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Proven experience as a barista with in-depth knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing methods.
- Proven experience in a similar supervisory or leadership role in a food service setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team effectively.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic financial and budgeting knowledge.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle busy shifts.
- A passion for coffee and food service is a must
- Barista or culinary training.
