About the role

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Kenilworth Hotel Brewery, a vibrant hospitality establishment located in the picturesque town of Kenilworth, Queensland. As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the hotel, while also driving strategic initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience. This is a full-time role based in Kenilworth.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage all aspects of the hotel's operations, including staffing, budgeting, and strategic planning
  2. Oversee the delivery of exceptional customer service and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction
  3. Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  5. Collaborate with the hotel's management team to identify and implement process improvements
  6. Manage the hotel's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  7. Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the hotel's staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar venue management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Proven track record of successfully managing the operations of a hotel or similar hospitality establishment
  3. Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
  5. Proficient in the use of relevant hospitality management software and systems
  6. Thorough understanding of health, safety, and licensing regulations within the hospitality industry
  7. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
