ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor / Building Code Consultant to join a highly regarded national consultancy in their Perth office. You'll work closely with senior specialists and contribute to a variety of large-scale commercial, government, healthcare, defence, and infrastructure projects from concept through completion.

This position offers genuine opportunities to develop your technical expertise, mentor junior team members, and shape building compliance solutions on landmark Australian developments.

DUTIES

  • Conduct NCC assessments and prepare technical reports for Class 2–9 buildings
  • Complete site inspections and audits on new and existing developments
  • Develop performance-based solutions in collaboration with fire engineers and authorities
  • Provide clear, professional advice to clients and project teams
  • Contribute to fee proposals, project coordination and mentoring of junior staff

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 3 years' experience on Class 2–9 projects
  • Level 1 registration (or Level 2 working towards Level 1) preferred
  • Qualifications in Building Surveying or currently completing relevant studies
  • Strong knowledge of NCC Vol 1 & 2 and associated Australian Standards
  • Excellent communication, technical writing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with attention to quality and compliance
