About this role
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting and coordinating our Youth Support Services, helping to create meaningful opportunities and positive outcomes for young people. You'll work alongside passionate teams to ensure services run smoothly, strengthen connections with the community, and contribute to initiatives that empower young people to reach their full potential. Senior Team Leaders play a pivotal role in cultivating a collaborative and inclusive workplace, guiding team members to successfully execute their programs in alignment with contractual obligations, organizational goals, and regulatory standards. Through adept communication and harnessing individual capabilities, Senior Team Leaders foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and ongoing enhancement. Leading by example, they promote open dialogue and facilitate a positive team dynamic that nurtures both personal and professional development, shouldering heightened responsibilities to drive success at a senior level.
To Be Successful You Will Need
- The Ability to effectively lead a team at a senior level to deliver service programs and ensure they remain aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
- Extensive experience working within government funded programs.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, community organisations, and other service providers to promote the organisation and its services.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate and effectively lead a team.
- Prior people management experience including recruitment, rostering, supervision, coaching and providing feedback, as well as performance management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of organisational programs, policies, and operations.
- Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant industry experience or extensive industry experience.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities will be highly regarded.
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds will be highly regarded.
- Out of hours may be required from time to time
- Intra and interstate travel may be required
Compliance
- A current QLD drivers licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent
- Blue Card (Working with children card)
- A current national Police Check (within the last 3 months)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certifications
- Be willing to provide two reference checks from your most recent employment
