Head of Compliance – Policy, Risk & Safety

Lead compliance, risk, and policy excellence to create safer, smarter outcomes.

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Compliance to join our leadership team and guide compliance, policy and risk management practices that ensure we deliver on our mission of realising the potential in everyone.

In this role, you'll work closely with Executive Leaders, Centre Support teams and operational stakeholders to:

  • Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures aligned with legislation, regulations, and best practice.
  • Lead compliance training and communication programs, ensuring clarity, accountability and capability at all levels.
  • Oversee and strengthen Affinity's risk management framework, embedding risk awareness into organisational culture.
  • Manage child safety and worker safety frameworks, monitoring compliance and promoting accountability across centres.
  • Chair and contribute to committees that advance policy, safety and governance outcomes.
  • Drive a program of continuous improvement, leveraging data, trends and insights to enhance compliance effectiveness.
  • Develop innovative e-learning resources to support compliance knowledge and implementation across Affinity.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven senior experience in compliance and risk management, ideally in complex or regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of policy development, WHS, and risk frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all organisational levels.
  • A track record of building effective compliance systems and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in Law, Risk Management, Business or a related field.
