As an Electrical Apprentice, you'll be part of a high-performing team working on cutting-edge systems that power industries across Australia. This role is based in Ballarat and includes regional travel for exciting off-site installations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting with the installation, modification, and repair of electrical systems
- Cutting, drilling, and preparing panels and enclosures
- Mounting switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, meters, and other devices
- Performing basic wiring and cable termination under supervision
- Labelling and identifying components and wiring correctly
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Keeping the workshop clean and organised
- Shadowing qualified tradespeople and learning multiple aspects of the trade
- Travel regionally for exciting on site installations
- Gain real experience with automation, switchboards & control panels

Apprenticeship Details
- 4-year paid Apprenticeship
- Earn your Certificate III in Electrotechnology (UEE30820)
- All training fees and PPE fully covered
- Learn from experienced industry mentors
- Ongoing support from a dedicated Ai Group Consultant
- Access to the Australian Apprenticeship Support Loan
- Training delivered by Federation TAFE Ballarat
Requirements What You Will Need:
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum completion of Year 12
- Certificate II in Electrotechnology is highly recommended – this will give you a strong head start
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Strong aptitude for maths and science
