We are excited to announce openings for multiple Digital Design Officers within our Curriculum directorate.
• Location: Parramatta with access to various NSW Education offices and flexible working arrangements available
• Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8 with base salary ranging from $113,574 to $125,720 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
• 3 x Temporary full-time opportunity up to four (4) years, with possibility for extension or conversion to ongoing

About the Curriculum directorate
The Curriculum Directorate is responsible for supporting the implementation of policies and design of high-quality evidence-based resources and tools to support curriculum implementation across P-12. We coordinate special programs, and we lead the department's response to the NSW Curriculum Reform.
About the role
The Digital Design Officer provides creative digital design services, producing high-quality graphic resources across a range of multimedia projects and formats to support curriculum implementation in schools. The role is responsible for developing design solutions from concept to publication, ensuring resources align with departmental standards, meet accessibility requirements, and effectively engage users and meet their needs.

About you
You are a creative digital design professional with proven experience in graphic and multimedia design, delivering projects from concept to publication. You bring expertise in visual and user‑centred design, with a strong understanding of accessibility standards and contemporary design best practices. Your creativity and clear communication skills enable you to deliver effective design solutions across multiple projects, ensuring outcomes meet both user and organisational goals.
Key knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements
• Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
