Koorana has a fantastic opportunity for a university qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join Koorana's Early Childhood Education Services Team on a permanent full-time basis from 8.00am – 4.00pm at our new inclusive preschool in Bass Hill opening soon.
The Opportunity
As our Educational Leader, you'll help the Director guide pedagogy, compliance and culture at a term time preschool open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm. During NSW school holidays, children don't attend, however this time is dedicated to program reflection, in service training and team building so you can plan, upskill and lead with purpose. They will work collaboratively with the wider preschool and early education team to deliver a best practice early childhood education program which reflects the National Quality Curriculum Framework.

What You'll Do
• Act as a Responsible Person, Education Leader or 2IC if required.
• Be able to be proactive and flexible, responding to guidance and work according to organisational standards and expectations.
• Plan and implement a best practice early childhood curriculum.
• Enjoy working in a team-focused setting.
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, families and colleagues.
• Be passionate about play-based education practice.
• Experience working with children with high support learning needs in an early childhood setting.
• Have a sound understanding of inclusive practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community.
• The ability to effectively collaborate with other professionals.
• A high standard of verbal and written communication skills.
• An understanding of early child development and evidence-based practice in early childhood education and care.
What You'll Bring
• A sound understanding of:
– National Quality Framework for Early Education, inclusive of the National Law and Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard;
– Child Safe Organisation and Child Well Being Legislation; and
• An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety Legislation.
• First Aid Certificate (including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis).
Qualifications and Checks
• An ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor or above).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current NDIS Workers Check (or eligibility to obtain).
Hours, Location & Employment Type
• Full time, permanent, Bass Hill (8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday).
• Operates in line with NSW Department of Education school terms; school holidays are set aside for staff planning, reflection, training and team building.
