Vineyard, Winery & Packaging Operator – Happs Wines (Dunsborough Estate)

A responsible, hands-on role in a small, dedicated team.

Happs Wines is seeking a dependable and skilled Vineyard, Winery & Packaging Operator to support daily operations across our vineyard, winery, and packaging shed. This is a key role in a small team, requiring initiative, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Established in 1978, Happs is a family-owned winery and pottery known for its diverse wine styles, creative approach, and strong community ties. Our Dunsborough estate features a unique outdoor cellar door and reflects our commitment to sustainable viticulture.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out seasonal vineyard tasks: pruning, netting, harvesting, mowing, irrigation, and vine care.
  • Monitor vine health and maintain vineyard infrastructure and machinery.
  • Assist with bottling, labelling, packaging, and dispatch for Happs and contract clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and materials.
  • Support winery operations during vintage.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in vineyard, winery, or warehouse operations.
  • Current Driver's Licence, Forklift Licence, and Chemical Handling Certification.
  • Strong attention to detail, physical capability (lifting up to 20kg), and a collaborative mindset.
  • Current car licence (C class) is required for this position.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this role.

Desirable: First Aid certification, mechanical aptitude, and experience in small teams.
