The Role
The Technical Program Manager reports to the Chief Technology Officer and plays a critical role in orchestrating execution across multiple teams and initiatives. You will own the "how and when" of complex programs, from requirements definition to delivery, while ensuring cross-functional alignment. This role blends technical depth, stakeholder engagement and delivery leadership to transform customer needs into scalable, impactful solutions.
You must be motivated and passionate about great service. Within a small team, you understand that working closely with others and pitching in when necessary helps our team be stronger and reach our goals. This is a flexible position with the opportunity to mix office and home work environments.
When and Where
This is a full-time hybrid based in our Ultimo, NSW office
Your Duties
- Lead technical discovery for new initiatives, early stage mapping of risks and feasibility.
- Lead proof-of-concept projects, drive scoping and delivery of technically complex initiatives including hardware, mobile and cloud components.
- Write detailed product requirements (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) applying strong technical depth and business acumen.
- Represent the technical teams in customer technical integration meetings and translate customer feedback into requirements and tasks.
- Drive architectural decisions and collaborate on evolving system design.
- Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and timelines clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate technical design reviews and drive cross-functional alignment and delivery
- Act as a technical escalation point, support stakeholders and internal teams when programs encounter critical technical challenges.
- Support go-to-market readiness by collaborating with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to align technical delivery with launch plans.
Skills and Experience

Essential:
- Proven experience in technical program management or similar roles for at least 10 years.
- Experience in the SaaS industry and success leading large, complex projects, integrations or initiatives within.
- Strong background in software development practices and delivery.
- Ability to write clear product requirements and technical specifications, including acceptance criteria or test plans.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional design and alignment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
- Ability to act as a customer advocate while balancing technical trade-offs.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Agile practices and JIRA (or similar tools).
- Proven ability to manage dependencies across multiple teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and expectation management skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (~4 times per year)
Desirable:
- Experience sourcing and integrating third-party hardware/software partners.
- Experience leading proof-of-concept development.
- Knowledge of user research and prototyping techniques.
- Background in innovation, emerging technologies or software engineering
- Contributions to process improvement in scaling teams.
