About the role

Wonderful Mind Therapy and Counselling is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Doreen and Craigieburn, VIC on a contract/casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our diverse client base, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions focused on improving daily living skills, mobility, and overall functioning
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, patient-centred care
  • Document client progress, maintain accurate records, and submit reports as required
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise a diverse caseload
  • Passion for empowering clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life
