Job Summary:

As Global Mobility Specialist, you will serve as an HR interface and focal point for employees who relocating to national or international assignments. You will assist with assignment documentation, provide policy counseling, and coordinate relocation services with different vendors. Your role as a primary point of contact for relocating employees will help Bechtel mobilize top talent worldwide.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employees who are relocating international or national assignments
  • Coordinates service providers for household effects shipments, pre-assignment medicals, immigration, tax services and destination services
  • Collects and conducts preliminary review of individual documents required for immigration processing
  • Prepares corporate documents required for immigration processing
  • Prepares and explains assignment and employment documents, including offer letters, recitals and assignment compensation calculations, in accordance with policies and approved assignment conditions
  • Manages receipt of applicable documents, submittals, and monitoring of processes to gain assignment mobilization clearance
  • Explains assignment expense reimbursement processing and policies
  • Interfaces with other teams as appropriate, including Expatriate Tax, HR Operations, Benefits, national and international payroll teams, Security, Expense Management, etc.
  • Continuously updates mobility management software throughout the assignment process, for tracking and status updates as required
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor Level Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and 3-5 years relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Prior global mobility, immigration or Human Resources generalist experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS applications, e.g., Word, Excel, Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high volume workload, with focus on data integrity
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
