The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer to join our growing Sydney team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering major demolition and excavation works. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in delivering demolition and excavation projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on project budgets, schedules, and quality performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with WHS, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide engineering and technical support, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Maintain project documentation, including risk registers, cost control, and scheduling tools.
  • Procuring material and equipment for the project ensuring timely delivery.
  • Preparation of monthly invoice detail with backing information in accordance with contract.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in demolition, excavation, or civil construction projects (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of demolition methodologies, excavation practices, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain clear communication.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality work.
  • Proficiency with project management and engineering software (AutoCAD/REVIT experience advantageous).
