Job Description

As a Network Security Engineer, you play a critical role in safeguarding enterprise infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions across network environments. You are responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems through proactive defense strategies, continuous monitoring, and rapid incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS)Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurationsMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityMonitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planningProvide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issuesWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructureSelect and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security teamLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Job Description - Grade Specific

Required Skills & Expertise:

Proven experience in a network administrator roleHands-on experience in networking, routing, and switchingExcellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructureExperience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolutionAbility to set up and configure server hardwareFamiliarity with backup and recovery software and methodologiesGreat at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
Preferred Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE)Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA)AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty or equivalent Azure certificationsEducation and Experience:
