M&A –Transaction Services – Associate Director - Melbourne
Are you ready to join a dynamic team at the forefront of corporate and private equity transactions? Due to increasing demand we are seeking talented Associate Director to contribute to our market leading M&A Transaction Services practice.
As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with Australia's largest corporate entities and private equity clients across all industries. Your day-to-day activities will involve executing complex transactions, collaborating with global colleagues, and providing valuable insights to our clients.
What will your typical day look like?
- Executing complex transactions: You will be involved in high-profile transactions, gaining valuable diligence experience and commercial insights. You'll have the chance to work closely with key client stakeholders, making a real impact on their business strategies.
- Collaborating on cross-border transactions: You will team up with our global colleagues on significant cross-border deals. This presents a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons and gain exposure to different markets and cultures.
- Developing deep business understanding: Through thorough analysis of historical trading, cash flow, forecasts, and more, you will quickly develop a deep understanding of businesses. You'll identify opportunities and issues facing our clients, helping them make informed investment decisions.
- Reporting and advising: Leveraging the latest tools in M&A Data Analytics and Gen AI, you will provide dynamic and commercial insights and reporting on potential opportunities and issues to our clients. Your insights will include risk factors, price considerations, and areas of opportunity. Your recommendations will play a crucial role in shaping our clients' investment strategies.

About The Team
Our M&A Transaction Services team works closely with our clients across the M&A lifecycle to deliver due diligence insights, financial analytics, IPO and capital market support, bid defence and support, advice on transaction related accounting and financial matters and reviewing sale and purchase agreements.
Our team supports clients formulate their deal hypothesis and then analyses the key drivers with sophisticated, technology-enhanced and tailored M&A advice. Our clients include private and listed corporates across Asia Pacific, global enterprises and market-leading global and Australian private equity firms.
We take a collaborative and innovative approach to due diligence – working with the firm's vast range of specialist expertise and through its leading-edge data analytics platform iDeal, we are able to deliver multi-disciplinary insights to our clients, adding value every step of the way.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- Post graduate qualification, e.g. CA, CPA or Masters in Applied Finance
- 5+ years of professional services experience across Audit and Transaction Services (ideally with Big 4
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Structured thinking style with focus on detail to support financial analysis required in a complex transaction environment
- Strong excel and power point skills and experience with data analytics and visualization software
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to develop strong business relationships
