The Government Architect (WA) requires the support of a Design Advocacy and Communication Officer. This role requires written, verbal and graphic design communication skills to clearly articulate the value of design to stakeholders, combining technical understanding and expertise with best practice communication aligned to the strategic priorities of the Government Architect.
This role will prioritise building strategic relationships with stakeholders and will help facilitate the delivery of innovative and strategic design advocacy and engagement activities.
This is a permanent full-time position. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
- Considerable experience in providing professional advocacy and communication services within a design focused stakeholder engagement environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to successfully influence and achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in translating complex information into clear, concise messages tailored for diverse stakeholders, effectively supporting strategic objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and laterally, adapt to changing circumstances, innovate and develop effective solutions aligned with strategic priorities and goals.
