The role

Join Expert Care Services' team of dedicated Disability Support Workers in Penrith, NSW. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with disability to live their best life. With a focus on providing high-quality, person-centred care, you will work closely with clients to help them achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Supporting clients to participate in community activities and access services
  • Encouraging and empowering clients to develop new skills and make choices about their care
  • Maintaining detailed client records and reporting on progress
  • Collaborating with allied health professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated care
  • Advocating for clients and promoting their rights and wellbeing

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or a related field
  • Experience providing person-centred support to individuals with disability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
