Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory obligations.
• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security architecture and controls.
• Oversee IT risk management, including threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation planning.
• Manage the internal Cyber Operations Centre and lead incident response efforts.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, APRA CPS 234, and GDPR.
• Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and the board on security posture and risk exposure.

• Proven strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Expertise in crisis management and decision-making under pressure.
• Technical proficiency in security infrastructure and threat intelligence.
• Commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead high-performing teams.

Education & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in information security leadership, ideally within financial services or insurance.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including Essential 8 and NIST.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
• Experience influencing executive leadership and leading cross-functional teams.
