Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

A high-profile opportunity has arisen for an experienced CISO to join a major utilities provider responsible for the delivery of essential services across Australia's critical infrastructure sector.

You will lead the organisation's cyber security strategy, with a core focus on uplift and ongoing compliance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act. You will drive the protection of both IT and operational environments.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and deliver the organisation's security strategy and roadmap in accordance with SOCI and other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Drive uplift of cyber security across SCADA / OT environments and ensure alignment to industry standards
  • Provide strategic advice to the ELT and Board on current and emerging threats across operational and IT environments
  • Drive security governance, risk and compliance activities across the enterprise
  • Manage third-party and vendor relationships, ensuring alignment to security standards and critical infrastructure obligations

About You:

  • Proven experience in senior cyber leadership roles within critical infrastructure or highly regulated environments
  • Strong background securing OT environments and working with engineering/operations stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of SOCI obligations and a track record of successful implementation
  • Strong capability across GRC, security architecture and operational security
  • Ability to influence at Board/Executive level and engage effectively with Government and regulatory agencies
