About the Role

Our client is a large and well-regarded industry leader, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their supportive team on a permanent basis. This role will involve end to end accounts payable responsibiliries. This opportunity would suit an individual who is passionate about accounts payable and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The Responsibilities:

This role will involve the following tasks:

  • Completing accounts payable activities including raising purchase orders, processing of invoices and responding to supplier queries.
  • Maintain supplier accounts and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Investigate any overdue invoices.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks on an as needs basis as directed.
  • Month-end reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely generation of weekly supplier payment files.
  • Prepare AP related monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare weekly cash outflow forecase for supplier payments.

The successful applicant will have

  • Proven experience within an end-to-end accounts payable role for 5+ years.
  • A strong knowledge of statement reconciliations.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of month end and year end procedures.
  • Experience in mentoring, training and leading a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to priotise effectively.
  • Proficient with MS Office inclusive of Outlook, advanced Excel and Word.
  • Elevated level of accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Ideally available for an immediate start.
