Port Balustrades & Pool Fencing is currently seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our growing team in Port Macquarie. Whether you're an apprentice, trade-qualified, or bring solid industry experience, we'd love to hear from you.

We're a proud family-owned business servicing the Mid-North Coast, specialising in Aluminium and Frameless Glass. Our reputation is built on high-quality design, fabrication, and installation of aluminium balustrades, privacy screens, gates, custom fencing, pool fencing and glass balustrades and pool fencing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication (or currently undertaking), or equivalent trade experience
  • Proven experience in aluminium welding and metal fabrication
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
  • Physically capable of handling fabrication tasks, including lifting and site preparation
  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and proud of your craftsmanship
  • Comfortable working independently or collaboratively within a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality aluminium welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Operate welding equipment and tools and conduct basic maintenance and care of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Read and interpret plans and drawings to accurately fabricate
  • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE on-site and in the workshop
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Inspect finished work for quality, ensuring high standards are met
