An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced and driven professional to step into a newly created leadership role with a rapidly growing specialist organisation in the renewable energy space. This is a high-impact, strategic role leading the company's expansion into Queensland, with strong autonomy, visibility, and career potential.

About the Role

You will be responsible for establishing and growing the organisation's presence in the state. This is a rare opportunity to shape a regional business unit from the ground up, working closely with national leadership and technical teams.

You'll be the key point of contact for clients, partners, and stakeholders in Queensland, leading market development, business growth, and project delivery in the renewable energy sector. The role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities and is suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, development, and operation of the Queensland office, including recruitment and team leadership
  • Represent the organisation with local stakeholders, industry bodies, and government entities
  • Conduct strategic market intelligence and identify commercial opportunities across renewable energy, transmission, and infrastructure sectors
  • Build and maintain strong client and technical partnerships in the region
  • Oversee regional project delivery in collaboration with national engineering and delivery teams
  • Contribute to company-wide strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with national objectives

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Electrical, Energy, or Renewable Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Renewables and Transmission & Distribution.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in business development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of the Australian energy market, particularly in Queensland.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or eligible to obtain.
