The Opportunity

Based within the University of the Sunshine Coast's dynamic Insights and Analytics Unit, this is an exciting opportunity for a detail-focused and analytical Data and Analytics Officer to play a key role in supporting evidence-based decision-making across the University. In this role, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of institutional research and data analysis, supporting key strategic and operational outcomes through accurate insights and reporting.

Working closely with the Manager, Performance Analysis and a multidisciplinary analytics team, you will manage institutional research activities, respond to internal data requests, and help interpret data to inform planning and performance initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to help strengthen the University's culture of informed decision-making in a collaborative, future-focused environment.

You will:

  • coordinate and support institutional research aligned with UniSC's strategic and corporate priorities;
  • provide timely and accurate data analysis to internal stakeholders; and
  • assist in the continuous improvement of reporting, benchmarking, and data interpretation activities.

About you

You are an adaptable and proactive data professional with a strong foundation in data analysis and a passion for turning numbers into insights. With a collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills, you enjoy working across teams to deliver meaningful, accessible information that supports strategy and continuous improvement.

You are confident using business intelligence tools, comfortable working with large data sets, and bring an analytical mindset to every task. You take pride in your attention to detail, enjoy problem-solving, and are committed to delivering high-quality outputs that support UniSC's values and goals.

You will possess:

  • a relevant qualification or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience;
  • demonstrated experience in data analysis and business intelligence reporting;
  • the ability to interpret complex data and extract meaningful insights;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences;
  • strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills; and
  • high-level digital literacy, with experience working across Microsoft 365 and enterprise data systems.
