These are long term contract roles to work in the Program Management Office - supporting the delivery of a large, flagship program of work to replace several legacy systems and outdated infrastructure / applications - across several project streams

Job Description:

The Release Train Engineers (RTE) will take the role of servant leader and an Agile Release Train (ART) coach in the Program Management Office and will work closely with the program Solution Train Engineer (STE) and Program Delivery Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and facilitate ART events and processes to support theirr teams in delivering value.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Escalate and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Manage and optimise the flow of value and drive relentless improvements.
  • Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) practices and Program Increment (PI) execution.
  • Support the adaptation of SAFe to the department's needs; standardising and documenting practices.
  • Utilise relationship management skills to form and maintain positive working relationships across the Program.
  • Contribute to reporting artefacts in line with required cadences.

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience and skills as a Release Train Engineer.
  • A strong understanding of the SAFe methodology and it's application within a large and complex Program within a government context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and audiences.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues to achieve outcomes.
  • Experience effectively managing competing priorities and strategic directions
  • Just have a current Baseline Security Clearance with the ability to attain NV1
