The Role

The rostering coordinator position is responsible for the efficient, effective, and profitable functioning of all security contracts (nationally) from a rostering and workforce planning process. The coordinator also responds to all roster related correspondence from staff, clients, and inbound phone calls. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and work in a National Operations Centre.

Key Duties

  • Plan and coordinate all rostering requirements, ensuring all shifts are covered (Nationally).

  • Subject Matter Expert of the applicable rostering software platforms.

  • Assist with Workforce Planning to meet company needs. Including surge periods such as Christmas/New year, Easter, and other peak activity periods.

  • Assist in planning future rostering arrangements.

  • Respond to all roster related correspondence from staff, clients, and inbound phone calls.

  • Ensure all matters pertaining to individual Officers are recorded in the applicable rostering solutions.

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive listing of casual staff availability.

  • Fill all Security Officer's unfilled shifts due to sickness, late notice, etc.

  • Liaise with Managers/Supervisors to ensure appropriately qualified personnel at each site.

  • Ensure currency of Security qualifications/licenses/accreditation in rostering platforms.

  • Attend Operations Meetings and provide credible input (when on shift).

  • Monitor and report overtime nationally and manage fatigue in relation to rostering.

  • Ensure currency of Site/Client Requirements on rostering software platforms.

  • Assist in preparing staffing plans for peak operating periods such as Easter and Christmas.

  • Coordinate all ADHOC shifts with the applicable Operations Managers.

  • Respond to late notice site requests for additional resources.

  • Maintain good working relationship with all site staff.

  • Liaise with Managers/Supervisors to ensure enough staff are available for rosters.

  • Review Time Sheets as required.

  • Maintain and monitor all ADHOC Bookings.

  • Report all staffing, rostering, and contractor issues.

  • Other duties as directed by Management.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum Year 10 certificate.

  • Minimum 6 months experience (rostering).

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Strong PC skills, with above average knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook.

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, adhere to deadlines and time limits, diligence, follow through and accept responsibility.

  • Hold a valid (or able to obtain a) 1E NSW Security License.

  • Good verbal and written communication reporting skills.

  • A high standard of personal presentation and professional conduct.

  • Attention to detail.

  • A polite and confident phone manner.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Conform to company policy as well as Standard Operating Procedures and instructions.

  • Take the initiative and have a willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work a rotating roster (including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays).
