About the Role

Engeny has established itself as a leader in civil engineering and design including; bulk earthworks, roads, stormwater drainage, flood/water management and dam related projects. We're looking for a talented Principal Civil Designer to join as a senior member of the team and deliver high quality services to our clients.

You will work as part of a standalone design team, side by side with an experienced team of Engineers and support staff, on an exciting variety or projects. Responsible for design and drafting, as well as preparing construction documentation, reviews and supporting and approving associated technical work.

About You

We are seeking a Principal Civil Designer with:

  • Proven experience within the mining sector, capable of designing to client standards and specifications while developing haul roads, tailing structures, and embankments.
  • The ability to leverage your knowledge of State utilities, Local Councils, and Main Roads to design bulk and detailed earthworks, roads, and stormwater drainage
  • Previous experience providing support to multiple projects and engineers along with mentoring more junior team members.
  • Prior hands experience producing geometric designs in 12d and drafting outputs in AutoCAD.
  • A keen eye for detail that will contribute to improving internal systems and automation, driving efficiency and innovation
  • An ability to thrive while working autonomously, whilst also maintaining exceptional communication with project team/s.
