Strive Together WA is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with disabilities, their families, and carers through person-centred services and programs.

Founded in 1996 at Landsdale Farm School, Strive began by providing respite camps for children with disabilities and has since grown to support people of all ages. Today, Strive proudly owns and operates Landsdale Farm, a community space that embodies inclusion, learning, and connection. With the main office based on the farm, Strive continues to build a place where individuals, families, and volunteers come together to foster growth and belonging.

Strive's annual revenue is approximately $11M, with a team of approximately 140 people, comprising of full-time, part-time, casual employees, as well as volunteers.

About the Position

We are seeking an inspirational, values-driven and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead Strive through its next phase of growth and innovation. Reporting to the Chair and Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for all aspects of strategy, leadership, culture and operations, ensuring excellence in service delivery and long-term sustainability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished executive who thrives in a purpose-led environment and who is passionate about creating positive outcomes for people with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

·     Strategy: Lead and deliver the Strive Strategic Plan, ensuring performance goals are achieved.

·     Operations: Drive business growth and operational excellence, strengthening community engagement and brand presence.

·     Finance, Risk, and Compliance: Continue to develop a financially sustainable organisation through sound governance, innovation, and prudent management.

·     Leadership and People: Inspire and empower a high-performing team, embedding a culture of safety, respect, and accountability.

·     Governance: Provide strategic advice to the Board and foster strong stakeholder relationships across government, business, and community sectors.

This is an ideal opening for a leader to make a significant positive impact in an established NFP that is carrying out important work in Western Australia. You will be given the latitude to demonstrate your range of skills and will be empowered to grow and further develop its programs and financial performance, with targets that are reasonable and achievable.

You won't be just sitting at a desk. This is a hands-on CEO appointment where you will be part of the Landsdale Farm community, leading by example and managing resources on a day-to-day basis.

About You

The selection criteria is:

·     Relevant tertiary qualifications.

·     A proven track record of success as the CEO or senior leader of a service-oriented NFP.

·     An understanding of, and commitment to, the values of Strive.

·     Ability to successfully deliver a strategic plan and translate strategy into operations.

·     Senior executive-level leadership skills in an organisation undergoing significant change, with strong capability in change management, decision-making, communication, and emotional intelligence.

·     Proven success working with and for a Board of Directors.

·     High-level ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and collaborative partnerships both within and external to the organisation.

·     Strong financial and business acumen with extensive experience in managing organisational budgets, business plans, and funding submissions in conjunction with an Executive Team.

·     Proven success in leading a medium to large organisation/business.

·     Ability to present a contemporary view of people with disabilities, acknowledging their contribution to society and respecting their choice and control.

·     General understanding of, and commitment to, the NDIS Practice Standards and NDIS Code of Conduct.

·     Current working knowledge of, and commitment to, the Fair Work Act.

·     Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, NDIS, and Work Health and Safety and their impact on employment and service delivery.

·     National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Clearance.

·     Successful Pre-employment Medical Assessment.

·     Current motor vehicle driver's licence.

Benefits

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. This includes a base salary, superannuation and salary sacrifice benefits, plus portable IT and communications tools and equipment.

This is a permanent full-time position based at Landsdale Farm.

Location

Candidates who are currently living in Western Australia, within a commutable distance to Landsdale Farm are preferred.
