The Tasmania Football Club has taken another critical step in our journey to the AFL in 2028, applying for a license to enter the VFL and Rebel VFLW Competitions for Season

We are now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to join our VFL/W Football Department.

About the Program

  • In 2026, the VFL/W program is planned operate as a stand-alone high-performance program, while also serving as a pathway to develop people and resources ahead of our AFL entry.

  • The VFL/W program is planned to operate in a regional training model in 2026 with training sessions and staff spread across Tasmania.

  • Upon completion of the High Performance Training Centre, the program will be centrally based in Hobart.

  • Head Coach positions do not form part of this EOI process. A targeted recruitment process is underway.
