Duty Supervisor

We currently have an opportunity for a Food Services Supervisor. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality food services that support patient care at Bendigo Hospital. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

This is a casual position, with a preference for availability during PM shifts to support peak service delivery times.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Supervise Food Service employees to ensure compliance with the Downer Food Safety Program and service specifications.

• Support and coordinate daily food service operations, including rostering, payroll, and inventory management.

• Liaise with internal teams such as Ward Services, Stores, and Chefs to ensure smooth service delivery.

• Communicate with external stakeholders including Bendigo Health representatives and Dieticians to meet dietary and service requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food service quality and efficiency.

What You'll Bring (experience required)

• Previous experience in a food service supervisory or leadership role, ideally in a healthcare or hospitality environment.

• Strong understanding of food safety standards and compliance requirements.

• Experience with rostering, payroll administration, and stock management.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
