About the School
Bellbird Park State Secondary College, one of Queensland's newest secondary schools, opened in 2017 for Year 7 students and is growing a year level at a time, with its first Year 12 cohort graduating in 2022. About the Role
As the Business Manager you will manage the delivery of a range of corporate services, support educational management activities and lead the development of systemic change by actively supporting the school management team and school community. You will oversee the delivery of administrative, financial and human resources support, including the supervision of lower level school support staff and influencing stakeholders on sensitive issues.
Your Responsibilities
As the Business Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Daily facilitating and managing of support staff
- Daily financial activities in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Develop, monitor and track Blue Card processes and ADO arrangements
- Run TLM and manual timesheets recording and signatories for support staff
- Provide advice to staff of leave entitlements
- Human Resouce processing including leave, appointments, variation, recruitment and casual claims
- Assist the Business Manager in identifying workforce needs.
The following knowledge and experience would be beneficial to successfully perform the role:
- Considerable experience in Departmental administration, financial processes and human resource practices
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to communicate with empathy and influence to address problems and obtain agreement
- Able to make decisions in line with policies and procedures
- Substantial knowledge and experience with One School
