Saint Marthe Brasserie on Tamborine Mountain seeks a Sous Chef for their growing restaurant. You should have versatile experience, a keen interest in learning and growth in your role, be a mentor to your apprentices and a strong support for our Head Chef.

About Us - Saint Marthe is a 100 seat French inspired Brasserie on Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland. We are driven by Respect - for our customers, our product, our work colleagues and ourselves. Our team is proud of our classical inspired cookery where so much is made from scratch - bread and butter, pickles, our chips, chutneys and ice creams, all our charcuterie and sauces.
The Role - Our newest team member should have good experience with many elements of classical cookery. You should be able to make a mayonnaise, an anglaise or a bearnaise without a recipe. That said, we do have our own recipes, and expect you to both follow and contribute to them.
Our basic values are an expectation that you will be a cheerful team player, able to both lead and follow when required. Final skill of value includes creativity for weekly specials (check our insta page)

Requirements - We live and breathe our industry, you should feel similarly. We close two days every week though, no way we'll ask you to work then
You will have a qualification, solid industry experience and an enquiring mind.
