AECI is gearing up for exciting new opportunities on the horizon, we're looking for skilled and safety-focused MPU Operators to join our Blast Services team with multiple positions on offer.
Based on-site in the Hunter Valley, working a Mon-Fri roster, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, transport, and delivery of explosive products directly to blast holes.
Reporting to the Blast Services Supervisor, you'll be the frontline face of AECI, ensuring product stewardship, equipment reliability, and strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety by completing Take 5s and attending pre-shift meetings
- Operate MPU units to manufacture and deliver bulk explosives
- Mentor and assess trainee operators on plant and equipment use
- Support preventative maintenance and equipment reliability
- Assist with raw material planning and delivery coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with site personnel and customers
What you will bring:
- 2+ years' experience in MPU operations
- Current HR licence
- Current or the ability to obtain a NSW Explosives Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a NSW Dangerous Goods driver's licence
- Knowledge of pumping systems and ANE manufacturing (desirable)
- Understanding of open-cut mining legislation (desirable)
- Strong work ethic and customer-first mindset
