Reporting to the Area Operations Superintendent, you'll oversee site operations, support crew training, manage product application, and ensure asset maintenance all while fostering a culture of safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily blasting operations
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Plan and forecasting demand
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Investigate incidents and prepare reports
- Deliver training and assess operational competence
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
The Successful Applicant Will Possess:
- At least 2 years' experience in blasting operations in a supervisory / managerial role
- Knowledge and experience in Mobile Processing Unit (MPU) operations and systems
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes in relation to handling and storing oxidising agents and transport and use of Explosives
- Current Standard 11, CBM and Supervisor Training (S123 and G2) or equivalent
- Hold a current NSW Explosives Security Clearance and drivers licence
- Experience in forecasting and demand planning
- Proactive approach, self-starter with the ability to manage deadlines with regular and recurring reporting
- High level competence in critical thinking, analytics and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mining management software systems
- Ability to travel domestically as required
