Reporting to the Area Operations Superintendent, you'll oversee site operations, support crew training, manage product application, and ensure asset maintenance all while fostering a culture of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily blasting operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
  • Plan and forecasting demand
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports
  • Deliver training and assess operational competence
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture

The Successful Applicant Will Possess:

  • At least 2 years' experience in blasting operations in a supervisory / managerial role
  • Knowledge and experience in Mobile Processing Unit (MPU) operations and systems
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes in relation to handling and storing oxidising agents and transport and use of Explosives
  • Current Standard 11, CBM and Supervisor Training (S123 and G2) or equivalent
  • Hold a current NSW Explosives Security Clearance and drivers licence
  • Experience in forecasting and demand planning
  • Proactive approach, self-starter with the ability to manage deadlines with regular and recurring reporting
  • High level competence in critical thinking, analytics and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mining management software systems
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
