Meriton Suites currently has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and innovative hotelier to join our Revenue team as Area Revenue Manager.
About the Role
Report directly to the National Revenue Manager, the Area Revenue Manager is responsible of driving the growth and success of our hotels by maintain our competitive edge through smart pricing initiatives.
You will oversee a portfolio of Meriton Suites properties and champion different aspects of hotel revenue management such as forecasting, pricing, yield management and handling distribution channels.
The role is based at our head office on Kent St, in the heart of Sydney CBD. This position is fully on-site, office-based. Please note, there are no work-from-home or hybrid options available.
Your key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of 4-5 properties with a strong focus on revenue maximisation.
- Monitor trends and performance of your portfolio to maintain competitive daily rates.
- Report and analyse commercial data.
- Liaising with key stakeholders within our centralised support team including Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Operations teams.
- Collaborate with hotel managers to optimise hotel occupancy, average rate and yield.
- Communicate revenue initiatives and key events with hotel operations team.
- Data management on third party websites (OTA's) for your allocated portfolio.
About you
- A minimum of 1-year in a similar role from a single or multi-property hotel environment
- Previous experience using hotel any PMS and CRO is essential (Guest Centrix PMS and Synxis CRS)
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills
- A clear understanding of hotel operations and processes.
- Ability to work 1 weekend per month is crucial for the role.
