Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Cook at Bombay Kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes to the highest standard. You will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our recipes and standards

- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely and consistent manner

- Monitor and maintain food quality and presentation

- Assist with the development of new menu items

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

- Order and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven at least 1 year of experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

- Availability to work weekends and evenings

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $68,000 to $74,000 plus superannuation. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment and develop your skills and knowledge in Indian cuisine.
