Feed Truck Driver

Cefn Pty Ltd is a progressive, family-owned and operated business specialising in all aspects of pig production. We have been farming the Clifton district since 1933, and today employ over 150 staff across multiple sites located in the Clifton, Leyburn and Yelarbon areas.

Over four generations, Cefn has grown and developed into an integrated business that utilises modern technology and building design to provide optimal conditions for producing our market leading animals. The Cefn team is made up of field, technical and support staff. Working together, we ensure our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality, and efficiency. As a modern agri-business, Cefn also owns and operates its own genetics department, feed mill, transport, construction, and maintenance divisions.

Your role

We are seeking a Truck Driver with the appropriate experience and HC licence for a full-time truck driving position within our organisation.

The position's primary role is to deliver manufactured feed from our feed mill to our company owned farms.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 5:00am on site start with flexible finishing times to meet each day's requirements (approximately 10 hour working days). There are no requirements for long haul or overnight operations. Public Holiday work will be required as needed. Training will be provided for the specific procedures of the role.

Requirements of the role

  1. Follow established procedures including those relating to record keeping of loads, Quality Assurance and Biosecurity.
  2. Recognise any repairs and maintenance for the truck/ trailer under their control. Ensure issues are resolved.
  3. Regular cleaning of the trucks and trailers.
  4. Good communication skills
