PBE Rutherford Mining is the premier cable repair facility in Australia. Due to rapid growth, our Emerald Branch is looking for an experienced Truck Driver to join our team.

Our branch services the surrounding areas and are the local industry number one preferred supplier for the supply, repair and disposal of trailing cables, feeder cables and accessories used in coal and/or metalliferous mining.

This is a mixed role as a Truck Driver and Labourer position.  It is a full-time permanent role based at our Emerald, QLD branch.

As the Truck Driver you will provide safe and efficient transport of cables to and from customer sites and Emerald Branch workshop. You are recognised as being the representative 'face of our company' and the first port of call to our customers therefore excellent communication skills and a clean, tidy and professional presentation is essential.

As a Labourer you will be based within our workshop operations and trained across all areas. Training is conducted on the job ensuring you will work in accordance with the highest Australian and Company standards.

Responsibilities include:
  • Transport damaged and repaired electrical mining cables to and from mine sites and surrounding areas
  • Securely load and unload mining cables off the company truck
  • Maintain good working relationships with customers
  • On the job exposure to workshop operations and cable repairing
To be successful you must have:
  • Must live locally around the Emerald area
  • Previous truck driving and labouring experience
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and manual handling techniques
  • Current manual HR drivers' licence
  • Current HC Drivers Licence
  • Forklift licence
