Senior GRISC Analyst

Brief Description
Your new team
Working as part of the Technology GRISC and Security Team the Senior Technology Governance, Risk Information Security and Compliance Analyst will have input into the technical direction of the Technology GRISC Team and influence and support key business stakeholders. The role will include the responsibilities for supporting the Technology Division in meeting regulatory and compliance obligations as well as general organisational information security and risk practices.

A large portion of the goals includes a transformation of the culture and the approach to risk in operations and decision making.

The role
Leadership

• Influence and support the ongoing development of the security roadmap.
• Be an ambassador for security working across the business to provide effective communication on security matters and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue between departments.
• Continually support and strengthen the Auto & General brand and culture by personally modelling high standards of performance, positively influencing teams and individuals, negotiating and resolving conflict, and articulating and cascading the Company vision and objective

Job Specific

• Enhancing and maintaining the Security Controls Testing Framework and the Information Security Management System.
• Enhancing and maintaining vendor due-diligence processes, lead and define overall third party risk management efforts.
• Creating reports for management regarding Governance Risk, and Compliance related topics.
• Tracking and reporting on key risk indicators(KRIs)
• Define and influence the appropriate security controls are applied throughout the system/continual monitoring lifecycle.
• Perform security and compliance assessments on new and existing systems, processes, and technology.
• Work with various business units to ensure controls are adequate, appropriate, and effective.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Weigh the relevancy, accuracy and perspective of conclusions against internal and external audit evidence.
• Perform business impact analysis and assist with the development of the Technology risk register.
• Interface with Technology and business in general to provide guidance and support.
• Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trends.

Risk and Compliance
Role
This role contributes to A&G'S commitment to adhering to the regulatory framework overseen by APRA. You will be involved in:

• Learning and understanding APRA's prudential standards and guidelines, supporting their implementation within the organisation
• Assisting with the identification and assessment of operational, financial, and reputational risks associated with the organisation's activities.
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of a robust risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls.
• Supporting the monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators and compliance metrics.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote a strong risk and compliance culture.
• Learning to identify and respond to emerging risks and regulatory changes.
• Assisting with the organisation's response to APRA audits and examinations.
• Always operating within the standards of the A&G Code of Conduct.
• This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in risk and compliance within a regulated environment. You will be working alongside experienced professionals and developing your understanding of the importance of sound risk management practices.

• Maintain awareness, understanding and compliance with Company policies and procedures, including the completion of mandatory training.
• Perform other reasonable and relevant activities as requested from time to time to meet operational requirements.

What Experience You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with security controls testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of fundamental information security concepts and technology
• Strong understanding of security and regulatory frameworks
• Competent in Windows and Linux operating systems and personal productivity tools.
• Competent in cloud computing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• At least 5 years' experience as a GRC Analyst or 2 years as a Senior GRC Analyst
